About me
As Associate Director of Education Initiatives at the Natural History Museum of Utah, Madlyn is focused on the development of technology enabled learning experiences that support the development of critical thinking skills. In collaboration with K-12 teachers, museum leaders, learning scientists, scientists, and technology experts, Madlyn and her team created Research Quest to engage middle school teachers and their students in authentic, virtual investigations.
She has worked in museums for twenty years providing organizational leadership with an emphasis on ways in which museums can best support K-12 teachers and students. This work is informed, in part, by her earlier work as an elementary classroom teacher. Madlyn earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas and a Master of Arts degree in Education from Northern Arizona University.
