AI can make us vulnerable to sharing our data and believing misinformation. This session is about providing strategies to counteract those risks and increase human connection and trust. Through real-life dilemmas, this session demonstrates how AI impacts our ability to trust what we see and the ways in which we, as humans, connect.

Attendees will be able to …
  • Recognize the potential risks and benefits of giving up private information about yourself and others (facial recognition, social media participation, AI use)

  • Explore the evolution of AI tools in schools and how they impact peer relationships (think Friend AI, and Chatbot tutors) and articulate the benefits/risks of humanizing AI technology and its impact on human relationships (chatbots, AI companions)

  • Implement lessons and resources to develop healthy digital habits around privacy, security and human relationships
