If you’re like me, chances are you’re overwhelmed by all the incredible AI tools out there for educators. In this presentation, you’ll watch me build a unit on digital literacy from scratch using a variety of AI tools. I’ll walk you through my thinking process as well as the tools I use, so you can walk away from the presentation being able to duplicate my process with ANY content area, and be able to build your own units effectively with AI. My hope is that this video can offer an easy way for you to jump into using AI tools in a way that will make your lesson planning process easier.

Do you ever feel like you attend your PLC meeting and it turns into a gripe session or a planning meeting? In this hands-on presentation, you will learn how to use a tool called the Strategy Implementation Guide (SIG) to guide your PLC discussions. Through the use of the SIG, teams will be able to have more meaningful conversations about their students and the individual needs of their students. As you work through your own SIG, you will be able to take the materials home to your schools and teams and implement the SIG into your PLC team to help create a team focus and goal for the school year.

Do you know what is going on in your district’s Google Workspace and/or Microsoft 365 domain? Are you confident!? Investigations to audit your environment don’t have to be complicated or even take very long. In this session, we will break down the top areas requiring your attention to protect your district and your community. When was the last time you really looked into what Third Party Applications have access into your domain and what type of access they have? How quickly can you identify and eliminate VPN usage or explicit Apps that your students ARE accessing with their district accounts? Maintaining data security is a never-ending game of cat and mouse. You must identify the multitude of files being shared outside your domain and take necessary action to ensure they don’t contain sensitive information. It’s equally important to quickly detect patterns of concerning logins that could indicate a compromised account. IT leaders need an efficient way to search for content and behavior in school-provided technology that represents real school safety concerns—as well as federal & state compliance issues Securing your district’s data that is accessed, stored, and shared in Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 is your responsibility. In this session, we will walk through these strategic investigations you can perform with the tools you already have. By asking yourself and your stakeholders the right questions, you can improve your cloud security and safety posture.

As classrooms become more diverse, the number of students learning English as an additional language continues to grow. Technology offers powerful tools that support multi-language learners (MLLs) in overcoming linguistic barriers, enhancing engagement, and achieving academic success. This session will explore practical ways educators can integrate technology to create inclusive, equitable learning environments for MLLs. Lucid offers great tools that can be used in a variety of ways. In this presentation, we will focus on the uses of the tool that give students a chance to build conceptual understanding. Lucid allows students to create visual models of their thinking, encouraging them to organize, analyze, and connect complex concepts in ways that promote deeper understanding. By integrating Lucid into Canvas, teachers can design activities that guide students through visualizing their ideas, which supports critical thinking, problem-solving, and cognitive development. Participants will learn practical strategies for incorporating Lucid into their instruction to foster student engagement, collaboration, and conceptual clarity.

In this session, you'll discover how to design a dynamic, engaging, and impactful conference that teachers will look forward to, even during the summer months. Since 2007, Weber School District has hosted a summer professional learning opportunity for its teachers—The Learn Conference. Through the years, the popularity of this event has continued to grow. What started as a small opportunity to learn about edtech in the summer for a handful of teachers has turned into a professional learning conference with 400+ participating teachers and administrators over 120 different learning sessions. We’ll explore creative ways to balance professional learning with elements that foster excitement and connection. Participants will also hear about strategies for generating support from key LEA stakeholders, finding the right people to volunteer time, and connecting with worthwhile keynote speakers. From unique session formats to integrating opportunities for networking, collaboration, and hands-on learning, you’ll leave with practical ideas to make your conference a must-attend event. We'll also discuss how to leverage technology and innovative presentation methods to keep teachers engaged and energized throughout the conference.

The library technology teacher and I started a monthly technology club at our school to support teachers using the available resources. We curated a list of resources and planned monthly learning sessions based on teacher interest and available resources. We want to share how teachers and technology leaders can use a similar model at their school to support collective efficacy by crowd sourcing lesson plans to foster authentic technology integration.
