UCET 2025

I am a marketing teacher by day, and a parent and husband the rest of the time. Oh, and I throw in a little entrepreneurial project as my side gig.  I started TheMarketingTeacher over 25 years ago.

I am originally from Wisconsin and moved here shortly after getting married. My wife, Cindy, taught Marketing at Davis when we met and recently returned to the classroom as a sub. We have two daughters with a son sandwiched in between.

I have a BS in Marketing Education and an MST in Marketing Education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

I have taught marketing for 43 years. Going to college is a great idea, but only if there isn't a better idea. I want students to do what works for them. My college professor taught me that learning is from "womb to tomb." He was right.

I enjoy reading and love messing around with technology--hardware and software. AI has become my newest distraction. My favorite books are Purple Cow by Seth Godin and The Greatest Miracle in the World by Og Mandino.
